Chelmsford Mountaineering Club, is a relatively small but very friendly and active mountaineering club, with members across a wide range of ages and abilities. Our club is BMC affiliated and our ethos is to actively participate in mountaineering pursuits, in a safe and enjoyable way. We meet every Wednesday night at Writtle College climbing wall, and afterwards in a local pub. Our membership has a strong rock climbing interest, and we regularly run trips to the Lakes, North Wales, Peaks, Scotland and Cornwall. Anything from sports routes to sea stacks, to big trad multi pitch mountain routes, were there doing it Weve also got a few boulderers and a ski mountaineer.
